A regional commercial real estate group recently honored three of its members with yearly awards.

Realtors Commercial Alliance of Southeastern North Carolina (RCASENC) president Kelly Stuart celebrated these winners during the Cape Fear CREW Awards of Excellence celebration at the Wilmington Convention Center on Feb. 16. RCA introduced a new award, Real Estate Rock Star, this year.

Stuart said the award recipient, Ginny Dunn of Maus, Warwick, Matthews & Co. worked in economic development and for a chamber of commerce before moving to Wilmington from Tennessee.

“She brought her record of tripling chamber membership, recruitment of a national retailer to her region and the development of a 160-acre mixed-use project,” Stuart said before presenting the award.

After joining the Wilmington firm, “she hit the ground running joining local and national committees, including Cape Fear CREW through membership committee chair and [as a] Professional Women in Building founding members, empowering and supporting women in the building industry … Jenny brings a considerate and thoughtful approach to leadership with an equal willingness to learn, motivating us all to commit to the local community,” Stuart said.

Eric Knight, broker in charge of the Wilmington office of Nest Realty who was RCASENC’s president for two years, received the organization’s Member of the Year award.

“If we thought 2021 was tough 2022 needed extra attention and care. To ensure RCA was set up for success, our board of directors took the responsibility to hold their positions for a second year, that included … Eric Knight,” Stuart said. “RCA was extremely fortunate that Eric to have Eric at the helm while we navigated some very choppy waters.”

A native of Wilmington, Knight also serves on the Cape Fear Realtors Board of Directors and is the city of Wilmington’s Realtor appointee to the joint city-county Workforce Housing Advisory Committee.

RCASENC’s Lifetime Achievement Award went to Garry Silivanch of Eastern Carolinas Commercial Real Estate.

“I’m honored to be presenting this award to my business partner, mentor and most importantly, my father,” said Nick Silivanch, partner in ECCRE, at the Cape Fear CREW event.

After 23 successful years as president and CEO of Global Data Services Inc., a New York-based national executive search firm, Garry Silivanch “decided to pursue his passion in real estate,” where he has excelled, ECCRE’s website states.

The Silivanch family opened ECCRE in 2014.
