Two sought-after and well-respected Houston Jewish Realtors, Vikki Evans and Karen Harberg, are joining forces this spring to better serve the community.

The two have pooled their resources and expertise to establish Evans Harberg Homes, a collaborative enterprise via Compass RE that will assemble a team of seven licensed professionals to assist with a comprehensive range of real estate needs.

Evans and Harberg are longtime friends and believe that their partnership will be powerful as a team.

“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts,” Evans said.

Harberg, who has been a Realtor in Houston for more than 30 years, is consistently acknowledged as one of Houston’s top real estate professionals by the Houston Business Journal, H Texas Magazine and Real Trends. Harberg is rated among the top 1% of agents in Texas by Texas Monthly. She agrees that the two of them complement each other very well.

They both see helping people buy and sell homes not as a job, but as a calling. Honesty and sincerity are their top priorities in each transaction, and they are passionate about their clients.

Evans has been a Realtor since 2011 and has been a Top Producer every year since then, with Real Trends recognizing her in the top 1.5% of Realtors in Texas. She has built a team of agents when she and her husband, Rich, have helped mentor and thrive as Realtors. Vikki and Rich have worked together for more than 10 years and expect the formation of Evans Harberg Homes will produce even stronger opportunities to continue to serve the community.

Both Realtors also have a strong record of community involvement in the Jewish community.

Evans has served on the boards of the Houston Jewish Community Foundation, The Emery/Weiner School and Jewish Federation of Greater Houston’s Women’s Business & Professional Group (past president).

Evans currently sits on the board of the Jewish Federation where she has served for most of the past 39 years. She is a former Women’s Philanthropy chair for the Federation and established the annual luncheon, Collage, in 1995, which is still going strong today. She has served on the executive committee of the board of Alexander Jewish Family Service for the past six years and, in 2017 and 2018, chaired the citywide film and art festival, ReelAbilities.

Similarly, Harberg has served on the board of Alexander JFS, Congregation Beth Israel and the Jewish Federation’s Women’s Business & Professional Group as a founding member. She was this year’s co-chair and will be next year’s chair of ReelAbilities for Alexander JFS.

Both Evans and Harberg consider community involvement an integral part of their lives.

“Being involved in the Jewish community is part of our DNA,” Harberg said.

The two Realtors share similar values, work ethic and integrity, making it an exciting opportunity to combine their expertise and create a powerful impact.

“We have been talking about joining forces for several years,” said Harberg.

With the formation of Evans Harberg Homes, the Houston community can expect the team of seven licensed professionals to provide comprehensive real estate services. The passion for serving others, honesty and integrity of Evans and Harberg are sure to continue making a significant impact in both the real estate and Jewish communities.
