She found a buyer after only three weeks.KMBC 9 talked to the man who is set to buy the property. He said they still haven’t decided what exactly they intend to convert it to, but they want it to be “jail-themed.” They have ideas ranging from an escape room and laser tag, to Airbnbs and hostels.Both the buyer and Voss are excited for the potential economy boost it could bring to Harrisonville.“I think it’ll be fun to watch and see what they make and make out of it, and it’ll be fun to come back and see that revisit it when it’s done,” Voss said.The listing on her website describes the half acre property. The building is more than 10,000 square feet with “a very secure fenced lot.” It has 34 cells – all with a sink and toilet.She said the building is definitely a fixer upper, but people on social media have been sharing a lot of ideas for the half century old property.“We’ve had all kinds — Airbnb’s or escape rooms or restaurants, bar, pet resort,” she said. “The funniest one was on the way here and they want to do a scared straight summer camp.”The listing price for the jail was $195,000.
