Marcus & Millichap (M&M), a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in self-storage, has hired Andreas Makris as senior associate for The Bledsoe Self-Storage Group. He’ll work with buyers and sellers in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets, according to a press release.
Makris has an entrepreneurial background as well as 15 years of experience in hospitality. He owns and operates a self-storage facility in Souderton, Pennsylvania, and is the founder of a tech startup for the employee- and customer-feedback kiosk industry.
“I’ve known Andreas since 2017, when I sold him a self-storage property in suburban Philadelphia. Luckily, we have stayed in touch, and he has been an excellent owner and operator of self-storage property over the last five years,” said Kevin Bledsoe, first vice president of investments for M&M. “Recently, Andreas approached me about joining our team and beginning a career in commercial real estate sales. It was a no-brainer to bring him onto our team. I have always been impressed with Andreas as a person, but the experience that he brings to the table on the ownership and operations side is priceless.”
Bledsoe’s team also includes Jared Houck, Matthew Junkin and Michael Palladino.
Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Calabasas, California, M&M offers advisory services, and mortgage and real estate brokerage. Its research division produces reports and videos covering more than a dozen property types. The company has more than 80 offices in Canada and the United States.
